Client File Version Mismatch
Description: After or during the update process Client File Version Mismatch error message is displayed
Mismatch will occur when you are in the patching process and it is interrupted or a file is deleted by your antivirus or firewall. This generally can only be fixed with a clean reinstall of the game with the antivirus/firewall systems installed disabled (turned off). Please use the following method when preforming the reinstall process:
Short Instructions for a smooth reinstall:
1) Turn off any antivirus or firewall software you have running unless it is Microsoft Security Essentials. This includes but is not limited to AVG, Avast!, McAfee, BitDefender, LiveWatch, and Kaspersky antivirus programs.
2) Download CCleaner from http://www.piriform.com/
3) Install CCleaner and go to the "Tools" tab, from there use the uninstall feature to remove Shot Online and Pando MediaBooster
4) Restart your computer and again disable your a/v or firewall programs unless you use Microsoft Security Essentials.
5) Open CCleaner again and use the registry cleaner as well as the normal cleaning options, make sure to back up your registry when it prompts you to do so.
6) Download the new Shot Online client from http://shotonline.gamescampus.com/download/client
Make sure you use the link that says "Download" and not one of the mirror sites.
7) Install Shot Online from the new client you downloaded and let it update completely
It is important to note that you should always add the ENTIRE GamesCampus folder directory to your antivirus program's "white list" or "safe list". Google is a very useful tool for finding out how to do this for your specific software. |
