It is a known problem with many games that dual core CPUs can cause errors and other issues. With Shot-Online you might experience a "Speed Hack" Error. In order to solve this problem, please do the following: Windows XP users: visit this link: http://support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?id=896256 And download the hotfix. If you have already done this then please skip this step. AMD Users: update your CPU drivers by downloading the appropriate file from the following location: http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/TechnicalResources/0,,30_182_871_9706,00.html After performing the above steps please do the following: 1. Start the Shot Online launcher; 2. When the launcher has loaded, go to your task manager - do not connect to Shot Online yet. 3. Hit the processes tab and find ShotOnline.exe 4. Right click ShotOnline.exe, select and click "Set Affinity"; 5. Take a check out of ONE of the boxes to the side of CPU 1 or CPU 0 then hit OK. Now start the client as usual. This should resolve any issues related to speed hacks being detected by HackShield. |
